Who is the data controller?

There is no statutory obligation to appoint a data protection officer for a site of this size, and none has been appointed.
What data do we collect?
This site is a static portfolio. It has no contact form, no login and no comment function, so nothing is collected from you directly.
What arises is technical: every request reaches the server with an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and a browser identifier. These sit in the server logs of the host.
Two entries are written in your own browser and never leave it. A localStorage entry named sa-preview remembers that you opened the site through the preview link, and a sessionStorage entry named sa-sphere-intro remembers that the opening animation has already run in this session. Both are technical, carry no personal reference and are not transmitted anywhere. They are strictly necessary for the service you requested, so no consent is needed (§ 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG).
On what legal bases, for what purposes, and for how long do we retain your personal data?
The server logs serve the secure and reliable delivery of the site. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating it. They are kept for as long as the host retains them for operational and security purposes.
If you write an email, your message is processed to answer it (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and deleted once it is no longer needed and no retention period stands against deletion.
Who are the recipients of your data?
The host, Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, processes the connection data described above in order to deliver the site. No analytics service, no advertising network and no font or media service of a third party is involved; fonts are served from this site itself.
Are your data likely to be transferred outside the European Union?
Yes, to the extent that the host operates from the United States. Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognised as providing an adequate level of protection in its decision of 10 July 2023.
What are your rights regarding your data?
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21).
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority here is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
What cookies do we use?
None. This site sets no cookies at all, which is why it shows no cookie banner and asks for no consent.
